BEAUMONT WOODS PLACE 3269

The existing cliff dwelling needed a new access stair whose exposed wood stairs were rotting in the very wet Manoa climate. The design suggested to enclose the stairs and add a playhouse for the kids on top of the existing carport. The resulting structure reflected strcit city setback with double mansard roof covering the spacious stairwell. A flat roof a top the playhouse is now overlooking  Manoa Valley and the Oceanfront.

BIOCLIMATIC HOUSE

LOFT DESIGN IN ZURICH

The big open raw space was divided into four distinct areas, entrance, living, working and sleeping by placing a box off center. The box contains a bath room with separate toilet and laundry area. Its outside reflects its uses by organizing Kitchen, ward robe, storage and library spaces.
 Big format bakelised wood panels were used for the box. The silver colored Forster kitchen adds a visual highlight and has Electrolux appliances.

ATTIC DESIGN IN ZURICH

The redesign and insulation of an unused cold attic space in a Zurich row house is housing a library and bedroom. The innovative concept of introducing a repetition of affordable slimprofiled copper skylight windows but projecting them beyond the roof pitch allowed for an optimized view onto the street level, without banging ones head as well as convenient operation of the awning type windows.
