ATTIC DESIGN IN ZURICH

The redesign and insulation of an unused cold attic space in a Zurich row house is housing a library and bedroom. The innovative concept of introducing a repetition of affordable slimprofiled copper skylight windows but projecting them beyond the roof pitch allowed for an optimized view onto the street level, without banging ones head as well as convenient operation of the awning type windows. This clever low-cost solution has the benefit of a dormer window without ist high cost. Integrated shelving below the skylights save space and are provided with natural lighting.
